Our Mission

Our commitment is to broadly address community needs and provide the highest quality of care that will help our clients reach their highest potential and transform their lives.
Coastal Behavioral Healthcare

Coastal’s mission:

Is to provide quality care with compassion, respect and dignity for those adults and children with mental health and substance use disorders.
We offer a wide range of evidence-based, innovative and comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and community based prevention and treatment programs for children and adults to improve their lives and engage and assist them to live, work, learn and participate fully in their community. Coastal is the leading provider of behavioral health solutions in Sarasota and we are dedicated to creating wellness for every individual.

Our Vision:

Our passion for caring for our community and commitment to meet the behavioral healthcare needs of the communities we serve is at the core of everything we do.
Each year we serve more than 7,000 children, adolescents, adults, seniors and families throughout the area. We provide services for people where they are needed; in schools, in homes, in groups, in hospitals and even in jails.
Coastal is currently the only agency in Sarasota County providing psychiatric care on a sliding fee scale for clients without insurance.
“Saving the Next Generation”
Our goal is to address inadequate state funding in order to provide best practice and innovative treatment, prevention and outreach programs for the more than 12,500 Sarasota County children, adults and families in need. Coastal’s campaign to “Save the Next Generation” will focus on our innovative prevention and treatment programs for youth and young adults and the current alcohol, drug and opioid crisis in our community.
