Juvenile Addiction Receiving Facility (JARF)

The Kreisman Center Crisis Stabilization Unit at Coastal Behavioral Healthcare offers a Juvenile Addiction Receiving Facility for Sarasota County.  Through this program, adolescents can be admitted for evaluation of their need for detoxification and stabilization as a result of alcohol/other drug abuse.  

Adolescents may be admitted under the Marchman Act by parents and/or guardians, or by local law enforcement if it can be determined that the adolescent’s problems are primarily a result of substance/alcohol abuse impairment. 

Once admitted into this program, the adolescent will be examined and evaluated by a psychiatrist to determine the level of treatment needed to provide the necessary steps for recovery. 

At the time of discharge, referrals and recommendations for continued treatment will be provided.
