The Geriatric Therapeutic Services program at CBH offers therapeutic services to persons 55 and over who currently struggle with substance abuse problems or who have had problems in the past and may be at risk for relapse. Our primary goal is to provide quality intervention and support services in an efficient and effective manner. We accomplish this through building trust so that new methods of coping can be explored to create supportive relationships for the individual and through personal contact by our professional staff in settings outside of a “traditional treatment facility.”
Substances of concern may include alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, caffeine, and prescription and non-prescription drug misuse. These services are individualized with a focus on social, emotional, educational, and relationship issues, with a goal of developing new and healthier coping skills.
Our in-home service program is tailored for each client. There is no charge and transportation can be provided in most cases.
