Since 1994, Coastal Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. has maintained accreditation through the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. Every three years, organizations are surveyed to maintain accreditation. In 2006, CBH was recertified and achieved the Gold Seal of Approval. Coastal Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. is a not for profit corporation providing mental health, substance abuse, criminal justice, prevention and intervention services for children, adolescents, adults, seniors and their families in Sarasota, DeSoto, Charlotte and Lee Counties.
